annx is the newest addition to the City family, located above Gridwrks in the former Dekcuf space at 221 Rideau. Built as a low-lit, high-energy bar for the underground, annx sits between a café lounge and an intimate performance space, offering a more flexible and exploratory format than a traditional club. The City family has long focused on thoughtful, music-driven spaces, and annx extends that approach into a room designed for variety, from forward-thinking DJ nights and live performances to listening sessions, private events, and workshops.
With a raw, punk-industrial aesthetic, the space nods to what Dekcuf once represented while carving out its own identity. annx carries that legacy forward as a place for experimentation, collaboration, and deeper engagement with music and culture, built around atmosphere, sound, and presence rather than spectacle.
